Day 4: 5th November 2005, Komurcu Bendi - Belgrad Forest






Everyday, 4 busses carried the participants from event (also city) center to competition areas.->>






<<- Kömürcü Bendi is more festive due to warm and sunny weather today. Randy Hall who came Istanbul from the farest distance (USA), competed in category E21L.




Again the bazaar was built up today. Nevcan Shop - T-shirt Shop - Silva Shop abreast...

<<- The participants who competed in E21L run long and also hard. Erdinc Tasel from METU (Middle East Technical University), looking his face gave an idea about the course.






Another participant from METU, Sertan Girgin (E21) missed a punch while coming finish. After he realized this, he took permission and run 3 controls back and again run the rest of the course. This scene gave feeling of "Forest Madman" but we, the organizers, congratulated him due to his model sportsman ethics and fair play. ->>



<<- Again from METU, Tolga Kanik (E21) ending his bad luck in Istanbul. All past races in Istanbul, Tolga had a troubles in Belgrad Forest and finally he is punching a regular finish. That's why he especially wanted us to record this moment.




The participants from Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, gave the colorful scenes during all day. The competitors in K21 Elif Yurdanur and Canan Hosafci, they punched the last controland entered to the finish tunnel together.->>






<<- Federation Event Observer and veteran sportsman, Muttalip Gülbudak (E55), represented Turkiye alone in his category.









A part of E21L course map. The terrain of Kömürcü Bendi is the classical formation of Belgrad, lots of up and downhill, moderately green forest.->>
